Delete your Vega account

1. Introduction

This page explains how to delete your Vega account, from the web app, from the mobile app or by email, and what happens to your data. It applies to the Vega app (package cards.vega.consumer on Google Play) and the Vega web app.

2. Delete on the web

You do not need the app installed. Sign in to the Vega web app, open Account Settings, then Security, and choose Delete Account under Danger Zone.

You may be asked to re-authenticate before the request is accepted. Deletion starts immediately.

3. Delete from the app

To delete your account from inside the app:

• Open the Vega app and sign in
• Go to Profile, then Security
• Choose Delete account and confirm

4. Request deletion by email

If you cannot sign in, email support@vegacards.com from the email address registered to your account with the subject "Delete my account". We will verify it is you before acting on the request.

5. Before you delete

Deletion cannot be undone. Before you start:

• Withdraw or spend any remaining balance
• Cancel any active cards

Balances are not recoverable once the account is closed.

6. What is deleted

When your account is deleted, we remove:

• Profile: your account profile
• Contact details: your email address and phone number
• Device and login data: the devices and sign-in details linked to your account
• Cards: your cards are closed and their details are removed from the app
• Notification tokens: the push-notification registrations for your devices

7. What we keep, and for how long

Identity-verification records and transaction history are kept only for as long as financial-crime and accounting laws require, then deleted. During that period this data is not used for anything else.

8. Timeline

Access to your account is closed at once. Remaining personal data is deleted within 30 days, except the records described above.
